I've past this line many time before & noticed all the people waiting for the free bag of groceries. for themselves , their families , children….
Out of respect for these people I didn't take any photo previously.
But on this piticular day, by a not infrequent personal resource depletion circumstance, I encountered the church pantry line having skipped breakfast, no funds in my pocket at that moment & and the cupboard empty at home.
Well… I'm not far from needing to cue up on line myself . My growling stomach was complaining, images of homelessness upwelled in my consciousness from times of greater albeit inspiring challenge from previous decades...
Do the people on that line really qualify to receive free food ?
Does social justice exist in our city , our nation … the world?
How does one reconcile resource inequality in one's little microcosm of daily life?
And the much more disturbing question of reconciling global resources of the planet…
